Scope and method
OUTSEED publishes reviewed technical guides for engineers planning and operating OpenShift, Linux, VMware, storage, identity, and disaster recovery systems. The library turns connected infrastructure decisions into readable procedures: prerequisites come before installation, destructive steps carry safeguards, and validation, rollback, and evidence are part of the work rather than an afterthought. Examples use documentation-only values and preserve privacy by excluding customer identifiers and credentials. Each guide states its scope and latest verification date; where the source records a specific validation method or field note, that evidence appears on the article. Product commands, APIs, and supported architectures still vary by release, so engineers must reconcile every procedure with installed-product help, current vendor documentation, approved change controls, and the realities of their own environment before execution.

How to back up etcd on OpenShift, what to hand over to operations, and how to plan a disaster recovery cluster with a value sheet and restore decisions.

A tested pattern for OpenShift user-provisioned installs: two HAProxy nodes, two Keepalived VIPs, bootstrap handling, SELinux and failover testing.

Configure OpenShift OAuth with LDAPS and Active Directory, test the bind first, grant cluster-admin to a group, then remove kubeadmin without locking yourself out.

A controlled workflow for presenting SAN LUNs to OpenShift workers and binding them with static PVs and PVCs: request template, multipath checks, YAML and tests.

Step-by-step OpenShift user-provisioned install flow: install-config.yaml, manifests, chrony MachineConfig, ignition hosting, RHCOS boot order and CSR approval.

Everything to confirm before installing OpenShift on user-provisioned infrastructure: DNS records, VIPs, NTP, firewall ports, proxy and registry access.

Build a multi-node Pacemaker/Corosync cluster on RHEL 8 with DLM, lvmlockd and GFS2 shared filesystems: fencing, journals, resources, constraints and failover tests.

Build a repeatable RHEL 8 VM template for enterprise middleware and Oracle-dependent workloads: users, packages, sysctl, mounts, SELinux and cleanup before cloning.

Practical build notes: ESXi on RAID-1 boot drives, hardening with PowerCLI, vSphere cluster settings, Unity LUN creation with uemcli, and dual-fabric FC zoning.
